Easy-to-absorb calcium, plus 6 nutrients that help your body absorb it, deliver it to your bones and retain it
Calcium citrateAbout 99% of the body's calcium is stored in bones; the calcium in this product comes from calcium citrate, an organic form of calcium.
Vitamin D3Helps your body utilise calcium and phosphorus; the skin also synthesises it naturally when exposed to sunlight.
Vitamin K2Activates a protein in bone called osteocalcin, which brings calcium into the bones.
MagnesiumAbout 60% of the body's magnesium is found in bones, participating in calcium and phosphorus metabolism.
ZincRequired for bodily growth and repair, supporting normal development in children.
Vitamin CHelps the body synthesise collagen, making bones more resilient.
Vitamin B6Involved in collagen cross-linking in bones, and related to bone strength. Two hurdles in calcium absorption, and how these two ingredients can help

Age and too little sun
As we age, the body absorbs calcium less efficiently; staying indoors all day with little sun exposure can also lead to insufficient vitamin D synthesis, making calcium even harder to absorb.
What the studies say
Vitamin D helps the small intestine absorb calcium. A review noted that when vitamin D levels are insufficient, the small intestine absorbs only about 10–15% of dietary calcium; when vitamin D levels are adequate, absorption can rise to about 30–40%.

Low stomach acid
Common calcium carbonate relies on stomach acid to dissolve. For people with low stomach acid, absorption is reduced, and some people may experience bloating or discomfort.
What the studies say
Calcium citrate absorption does not depend on how much stomach acid you have. One analysis pooling 15 studies found that on an empty stomach, calcium citrate is absorbed about 27% more than calcium carbonate; with meals, about 22% more.

What sets our calcium tablets apart
Calcium carbonate absorption relies on stomach acid, while calcium citrate is unaffected (Heller et al., 2000).
